Tramaine Raphael Gray
is a director, writer and filmmaker; who ministers transformative experiences through multidisciplinary bodies of work. A world builder, who blends/bends elements of spirituality, science and surrealism in his art. A storyteller whose curiosity investigates the core of existence- our humanity. His mission is to illuminate, heal and evolve the narrative/lives of those othered, alienated, dehumanized. With a goal to push the norm and innovate the form to revitalize the way we emblazon art for the present, and the near future.
He received his B.F.A. in Design and Production from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and set to receive his M.F.A. in Directing from the California Institute of the Arts; in May 2026. He is also a proud alumni of Dr.Phillips High School, Theatre Magnet in Orlando, Florida. His work has been awarded/recognized by the Director's Guild of America, Lincoln Center, Princess Grace Foundation, TheWrap, NewFest, Urbanworld, MVAAFF, PAFF and many more.
